How to type an international fax number
- Start with + and the country code, such as +49 for Germany or +81 for Japan. You don’t need 011 or 00.
- Leave out the leading 0 of the area code, in most countries. Italy is the exception: keep its 0.
- Check the flag beside the number: it shows the country FaxBuddy will dial.
US and Canadian numbers work without +1 from the US and Canada.

One price everywhere
One credit sends one page to any of these countries, from $0.40 a page in the 100-page pack. Many fax services charge more for some destinations; FaxBuddy doesn’t. Your first page is free, cover pages are free, and if a fax isn’t delivered, the credits come back. See all prices.
Numbers FaxBuddy won’t dial
In every country, premium-rate, shared-cost and personal numbers are refused before you send, because a call to them costs far more than a page. Mobile numbers get a warning, since mobiles almost never receive faxes; in Estonia, Italy, Switzerland and Belgium, where calls to mobiles are especially expensive, they’re refused. Each country’s page lists the exact prefixes.
Time zones
A fax to Europe sent in the American afternoon arrives in the evening there; to Japan, Australia or New Zealand, in the middle of the night. Use Send Later to have it arrive in office hours. FaxBuddy sends it from our servers at that time, even if your iPhone is off.
